Maryland Emergency Management Association 2019 Student Scholarship Program

DEADLINE: April 5, 2019

1) Any member of MDEMA and their immediate family are not eligible for the scholarship
program. Immediate family members are those who reside with MDEMA members.
2) Applicant must be a senior attending an accredited Maryland High School that has been
accepted to a two or four-year college / university.
3) All applications will be reviewed by the Association’s Scholarship Committee. Scholarships
will be awarded based on the quality of the applicant’s essay, completion of the local emergency
management contact form, community involvement, student records, G.P.A., financial need and
personal references.

Windy Hill Middle School PTSA Scholarship

DEADLINE: May 14, 2019


Students who attended Windy Hill Middle School are eligible for this scholarship.

The scholarship is in the amount of $500.00.

Spring 2019 Scholarships

EARLIEST SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE: March 30, 2019
LATEST SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE: June 30, 2019

The scholarship with the earliest deadline is March 30, and the scholarship with the latest deadline in June 30. There are many other scholarships due on all of the dates in between!

WMCCAI-Scholarship Application

DEADLINE: March 31, 2019
The WMCCAI Essay Contest is open to all high-school seniors within the WMCCAI service area.

Award: $1,000

Requirements: 
  • A grade point average of 2.5 or higher
  • Official H.S. transcript
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Completed application and essay

Judges will base their final decision upon: Best overall essay/presentation of the essay topic: “If You Were a Community Association Board Member, What Changes Would You Like to See in Your Community and How Would You Implement Them?”

Women in Technology Scholarship

DEADLINE: April 15, 2019


WITS offers multiple scholarships to women pursuing a career in computer science, information technology (IT), management information systems, or another related field. Applicants must be enrolled at, or accepted to, a two or four-year college or university in the United States for the 2019 Fall semester.

Candidates will be assessed based on the following criteria:
  • Academic Performance
  • Applicant Summary
  • Community Service and Extracurricular Activities
  • Leadership Experience and Qualities
Eligibility: At the time of award, women students must be enrolled at, or accepted into, either a two or four-year college or university within the United States for the 2019 – 2020 school year.  At the time of scholarship payment, women students must be enrolled for classes at a college or university within the United States for the Fall 2019 semester. Eligible women students must be planning a career in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or another related field as solely determined by VIP. 
Awards: $2,500.00 per recipient

Qualifications: Applicant must meet the following criteria:
 – Member of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union
– Graduating high school senior
– Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
– Under the age of 21


 Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship
2 Scholarships amount $3,000 
Qualifications: Applicant must meet the following criteria:
 – Member of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union
 – Graduating high school senior currently enrolled in a business or finance curriculum
 – Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
