PHS PTO Scholarship

Due Date Deadline: April 24, 2020 3:00pm

Patuxent High School is offering up to $500 in scholarship funds to students who have been members of PTO for 2 consecutive years, and have taken the SAT or the ACT.

Requirements:

• You must be a PTO member for two (2) consecutive years.
• You must have all attachments (listed below) in your package when submitted.
• You must turn all applications in to Ms. Ryon in Guidance by 3:00pm on April 24, 2020.
• Follow all instructions on the application, which you can get in the Scholarship Drawer in the Career Room in Guidance. 

You must have

• A one or two page, one-sided student resume. 
• Letters of Recommendation, which must be sealed and signed across the seal. 
• Your student essay/personal statement. This must be 500 words.

Illustrators of the Future Scholarship

Illustrators of the Future Scholarship - award $1,000- Deadline- December 31, 2019
To be eligible a student must:
- Be new or amateur artist who have not been professionally published and paid for more than their black and white illustrations, or more than one process color painting or have your work broadly featured to the general public through media.

You Deserve It Scholarship

You Deserve It Scholarship - $1,000 - 1 Award - Deadline: December 29, 2019

To be eligible a student must:

- Be a resident of the United States
-Be 16 years old or older, enrolled in college or registered in a high school.

Edison Scholars Program- $40,000 - 30 Awards - Deadline December 16th, 2019

To be eligible a student must:

-be a high school senior with at least a 3.0 GPA, planing to pursue studies in the STEM fields at a four-year accredited college or university and show financial need.

- Eligible STEM majors include computer and information systems, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conversation and physical science.

Flourish Scholarship

$1,000- 1 award

To be eligible a student must:
-Be at least 13 years old and enrolled or will enroll in a college or university in the U.S.
-Be a legal resident of the U.S or Puerto Rico

10 Words or Less Scholarship

-Be between the ages 14-25 who will be attending school in the fall of 2020

Bachus and Schanker Scholarship

$2,000 - 2 awards

To be eligible a student must:
-be a high school senior accepted to a four year university by the time of the award or full time student attending a four year college who carries a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
