Lillie M. Sawyer Teacher Scholarship

 DEADLINE: JULY 1st 2021

This scholarship is for graduating seniors who are interested in the field of education. 

To apply the following hard copies or printed documents are necessary:

• Official Transcript. Include an official "sealed" copy of your current academic transcript. (Unofficial copies will not be accepted.)
  

• Three Letters of Recommendation. At least two letters must be from school (teacher/counselor). One letter Clergy or other Community Leader. Letters of recommendation should be original and should not be duplicates of college recommendation letters. (Letters must be on letterhead.) 
  

• Proof of Financial Need  (W-2 form or other verification of earnings)
  

• ​Letter of acceptance from College or University
  

• 500 Word Essay Topic: “What a Career in Teaching Would Mean to Me" (including how you feel you can impact the education of students in the 21st century)

WMCCAI Scholarship

 DEADLINE: APRIL 15th 2021

The Washington Metro Chapter of Community Associations is looking for eligible high school seniors willing to submit an essay.

MCCEI 2021 Scholarship

DEADLINE: April 30th 2021

The Maryland Center for Construction Education and Intervention is offering four $1,000 scholarship for the upcoming school year.

Applicant must be a high school senior planning to enroll in a built environment-related degree program at a school, or apprentice/trainee in built environment-related training program (approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training), community college, technical school or equivalent in the state of Maryland. 

Applicant must desire a career in a built-environment-related field. These careers include but are not limited to architecture, engineering, construction management and any of the related skilled trades.

The Application and all attachments must be complete and received by April 30.

Southern Maryland Chain (MD) Chapter of The Links, Inc., 2021 Scholarship

The Southern Maryland Chain Chapter, of The Links, Incorporated, is offering Scholarships to college-bound high school seniors in the Tri-County area of Southern Maryland. 

 

The scholarship is open to high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, a social commitment to community service, and exhibit leadership qualities.

 DEADLINE:  April 20, 2021

Current high school seniors who will be graduating in Spring 2021 and will be attending Morgan State University beginning in Fall 2021 semester. The applicant must have at least a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Erica Weems Scholarship

DEADLINE: April 15th 2021

This scholarship will be awarded to two applicants, in the amount of $1000 each. 

Requirements: 

1. Female athlete 

2. A senior at an accredited Calvert County High School and planning to attend college 

3. Demonstrate strong character, great academic and athletic ability (via essay/application) 

4. Coach's recommendation (at least one) 

5. Essay 

6. All applications must be submitted to the guidance counselor’s office by April 15th
