Patuxent High School PTSA Scholarship

Deadline for this scholarship is April 21, 2017 at 2:30pm

This scholarship can be awarded to any student at PHS who is a PTSA member. You must be a member for at least 2 consecutive years.

The following must be provided:

• Transcript
• SAT/ACT scores
• Coy of SAR from FAFSA
• Resume
• Letters of recommendation
• Student Essay/personal statement

Applications can be picked up guidance in career and college room in the scholarship drawer.

Any high school senior can apply for this $500.00 scholarship to be used for an accredited institution which provides a two or four year program of studies or vocational training.

Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Leadership in the community and school activities
2. the content of a personal resume
3. Academic record (transcript, SAT scores)
4. Need for financial assistance
5. Evaluation by a school official (Principal of School Counselor)
6. Organization, appearance and completeness of the application.

A $5,000 winner and a $2,500 winner will be chosen from all local winners.

Deadline for this application is March 9, 2017 turned into your School Counselor.
