ESFCU Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship

    The Support Education Foundation is proud to preserve Rosemary Brinkley’s legacy by awarding scholarships to students pursuing a career in business or finance. Rosemary was an advocate for teaching financial education throughout her 33-year career as an educator and administrator. She understood the importance of practical business skills and teaching students something they could use to manage money in their daily lives. Rosemary’s passion to help the members of the education community to make sound financial decisions is what led her to volunteer on the Board of Directors of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union. She served on the Board for 46 years in various positions including many years as Chair.

Application Requirements: 

  • Graduating high school senior 
  • Enrolled in a business or finance curriculum  
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

ESFCU Dorothy Marvil Scholarship

    The Support Education Foundation is proud to preserve Dorothy Marvil’s legacy by awarding scholarships to students pursuing a higher education. Dorothy taught for 18 years, and then served as an administrator of an elementary school before retiring from the Prince George’s County Board of Education. She was a passionate credit union advocate who felt strongly that the Credit Union could make a significant impact in the financial lives of the education community. As a volunteer of the Credit Union, she served as the Secretary on the Board of Directors from 1956 to 2002.

  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

Calvert Local Scholarship (CLS)

Deadline: March 3, 2023 
Scholarship Value: Value may vary depending on provider  
Awards Available: 101 different scholarships 

    The Calvert Local Scholarship Application allows qualified students to choose from 101 different local scholarships generously offered by 37 Scholarship Providers. You can review scholarship providers eligibility requirements on their page, before submitting this application. Most providers require essays which will need to be submitted with the application 

Application Requirements: 
(may vary depending on provider. each scholarship requirements can be found in detail on the provider page)
  • One official High School Transcript with raised seal, or one (1) official College Transcript with raised seal 
  • SAT/ACT – Student may use a copy of the SAT/ACT official report sent with test scores or downloaded from college board
  • SAR – Student Aid Report from the processed 2022-2023 FAFSA
  • Student Resume 
  • Two Letters of Recommendation – Original, one each: an Academic Recommendation, and a Community Recommendation 
  • Requested Essay as required from specific Scholarship Providers

NPC Centennial Scholarships

 Deadline: March 15, 2023 

Scholarship value: $2,000

Awards available: 10 


    The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is made up of 26 inter/national sororities and is the largest advocacy and support organization for the women’s-only sorority experience. Beginning with women graduating high school in 2023, NPC plans to award 10 college scholarships of US$2,000 each annually through our new NPC Centennial Scholarships Program. The scholarships may be used to offset college tuition, dues and fees.

*While NPC hopes the scholarship applicants will join a sorority during college, membership is not a requirement of the award. 

Application requirements:

  • Applicants will be asked to complete a short essay using the included prompt (max: 500 words). Along with the essay question, the following materials are required to complete the application:
  • Resume (include academic pursuits, school/extra-curricular involvement and community involvement)
  • One (1) letter of support/recommendation indicating a commitment to high academic achievement, school and community involvement
