Optimist International's Youth Appreciation Recognition

The Optimist Club of Calvert County annually recognizes the outstanding youth of Calvert County.  This is the first year PHS has been invited to send applicants and we certainly have incredible young people who really impress!

Applicants must be seniors who have a minimum 80% GPA and are recognized for good activities and efforts in academics, community service, the arts and all around wholesomeness.

Only 10 students can be submitted from PHS.  See your school counselor for an application.  The deadline is October 11, 2012.

Recipients of this recognition will be celebrated at the Youth Appreciation Week Banquet on Monday, November 19, 2012 at St. John Vianney's Family Life Center in Prince Frederick.  Students also receive recognition from the County Commissioner's Office in the form of a proclamation and receive a tour of the county courthouse and a lunch.
