Scholarship Value: $2,000 (annual payments of $500)
The Optimist Club Scholarship provides finical assistance to a student graduating from Patuxent High School for undergraduate study in a field and at a college or university of their choice. This scholarship is awarded in honor and dedication that the president, Mr. Hoofnagle, exhibited throughout the years of his service to the youth of Calvert County.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Calvert County
- In the current graduating class of Patuxent High School
- Must be accepted to a college or university approved by the Optimist Club
- Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Applications are in paper form and can be found in Patuxent's guidance office
