Charles Serabian’s entire life was dedicated to service to his Country, his community, his friends, children and even to people he didn’t know, but knew of their need. He loved his God and he loved “his” American Flag. He continually gave of himself. Even in death, he continues to provide support to others through his large financial gifts that he bequeathed to his parish, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, to the American Legion Post 274 in Lusby, Maryland, to Boys and Girls State of Maryland and to his Knights of Columbus Council 9258 in Solomons, Maryland.
Charles was a Patriot, a Veteran, a Legionnaire, a Brother Knight of Columbus, and most of all, a friend to all. He enjoyed helping others, especially children. He would be especially proud to know his wealth and his legacy will live on to provide a long-term support of deserving young people who wish to better their own lives.
Application requirements:
- This year’s (2023) high school seniors
- senior’s parent(s) or guardian(s) must be registered parishioners of OLSS or the father/guardian must be a member of OLSS Knights of Columbus.
- Applicants must submit their high school transcript.
- A student must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA to remain in the four-year scholarship program.
